1.(袋鼠妈妈带着小袋鼠逛街,看见孔雀开屏。)

Son:Wow!So beautiful!It must be the mother peacock.喔!多么漂亮!

Kangaroo:No,it’s father.不,它是孔雀爸爸。

beautiful(形容词,漂亮的,美丽的。)

peacock(名词,孔雀。)

2.(小袋鼠问妈妈,那他的女儿也一定很漂亮吧。)

Son:Then his daughter must be very beautiful.他的女儿肯定非常漂亮。

Kangaroo:No,in peacock’s family,the male ones are more beautiful,for they can attract the female ones.不,在孔雀家族里,雄性的孔雀要更漂亮,因为它们要吸引雌性孔雀的注意力。

male(形容词,雄性的,男的。)

attract(动词,吸引。)

female(形容词,雌性的,女的。)

3.(小袋鼠突然被蚊子叮了一下。)

Son:Oh,it’s so itchy.It must be the father mosquito stings me.哦,太痒了,这肯定是蚊子爸爸叮了我。

Kangaroo:You’re wrong again.It’s mother mosquito stings you.你又错了,是蚊子妈妈叮了你。

itchy(形容词,痒的。)

4.(小袋鼠一副迷惑的样子。)

Son:Oh,it’s so strange.How do you know?哦,这太奇怪了。你是怎么知道的?

Kangaroo:Because I know in mosquito’s family,the babies are looked after by mother.She has to sting others.因为我知道在蚊子家族里,小蚊子是由妈妈照顾的,所以蚊子妈妈不得不去叮咬别人。

知识拓展:由于孔雀尾羽纹饰美丽,开屏时“纹饰明显”,和“文明”谐音,故孔雀开屏则寓意“天下文明”,表示对盛世的向往。
